Meet Jennifer

About Me

“My ideal client is a person who feels stuck, whether in a difficult relationship, a season of anxiety and depression, or as someone navigating the impact of past trauma.”

Now accepting new clients! My clients often feel overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure of how to move forward. They are looking for a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where they can untangle their emotions, gain clarity, and begin to heal. Some are carrying the weight of childhood wounds, while others are navigating the pain of being in or leaving a destructive relationship.

Many deeply value their faith but find themselves wrestling with the effects of harmful spiritual messages or painful experiences from their religious upbringing.  More than anything, they long to feel truly heard, understood, and supported. They want to heal from the pain that has kept them stuck, rediscover their inherent worth and inner strength, and move forward with greater confidence and freedom. They want their experiences to be validated, and many seek a therapist who can thoughtfully integrate their faith into the healing process without minimizing their pain or questioning their beliefs.

My clients often feel isolated and overwhelmed, seeking a safe, non-judgmental space to unpack their emotions and gain clarity. They want their experiences validated. For clients seeking faith integration, I serve as a Christian trauma therapist, carefully holding space for spiritual abuse, religious trauma, and church hurt healing.

My focus is on emotional healing, personal growth, and renewed well-being. Utilizing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I help clients understand their past and reshape their future. My aim is to provide a collaborative, empathetic space where clients feel empowered to make changes and find hope for their future.

Areas of Focus

Services Offered

Trauma & Childhood Wounds

Past emotional injuries often show up in our present responses. We will work compassionately to process unresolved childhood trauma and attachment trauma, helping you disentangle from the past and step into a more empowered present.

Spiritual & Religious Trauma

Healing from spiritual abuse, religious trauma, or church hurt requires a delicate and validating approach. I also support clients navigating cult recovery, providing a safe place to untangle your identity and rebuild your spiritual or personal foundation on your own terms.

Relationship Issues

If you are healing from betrayal trauma, narcissistic abuse recovery, or navigating the painful reality of a destructive relationship, having a supportive space is crucial. We will work on setting healthy boundaries, understanding communication patterns, and rebuilding your self-esteem.

Anxiety & Depression

Learn to manage overwhelming worry, intrusive thoughts, and feelings of heaviness. We will explore the roots of your anxiety or depression and build practical tools to help you find balance and peace in your daily life.

How I Work

My Approach

Specialties & Areas of Interest

I specialize in helping women and men heal from destructive relationships, including narcissistic abuse recovery, spiritual abuse, and betrayal trauma. I also work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, and the effects of childhood emotional and/or sexual abuse, helping with deep inner child healing.

At Attuned Soul Therapy, I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) therapy and integrate an Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach to provide trauma-informed care that supports lasting change. For clients who desire it, I can also serve as a Christian trauma therapist, incorporating a faith-based perspective into our work.

How would you describe your therapy style?

My therapy style is person-centered and deeply relational. I strive to create a safe, empowering space where clients can explore and heal emotional wounds with empathy and validation. This foundation allows them to feel supported and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. I frequently draw from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my approach.

What sparks the most joy for you as a therapist?

As a therapist, my greatest joy comes from seeing my clients feel truly heard and understood. When they begin to relax into sessions, open up to the process, and develop deeper self-awareness, it’s incredibly fulfilling. I find real happiness in watching their demeanor soften as they start to make meaningful connections and gain insight into themselves.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever received is to practice being fully present with others, always starting with empathy and validation before offering any advice or counsel.

When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your free time?

In my free time, I’m usually spending time with my five kids, hiking with a friend, reading a good book, sipping coffee, sitting on the beach, or walking my dog. I love it even more when I can combine any of these activities!

“It’s hard to know where to begin. I’ve been to a good amount of coaches and therapists over the last 30 years and NONE have done for me what Jenn has. She has a way of sorting through the messes of life with incredible intelligence, and a gentle and compassionate clarity. She has helped bring a grounded wisdom and insight into conflicts or crises in my marriage, parenting, family dynamics, and even business relationships, helping me feel confident in my daily interactions! She has helped me understand, learn and implement healthy boundaries in my relationships, and her influence has helped me deepen my Christian Faith. Just book an appointment with her. You will be SO GLAD you did!”

“Jenn has a beautiful way of guiding everyone she listens to toward the real essence of their situation, their heart and their need. With tenderness, compassion, and a strong compass of truth, she helps people see for themselves the core of their story to achieve clarity and direction for what is valuable and important to them. When you speak, she hears the heart beneath the words. She draws not only from her own lifetime of relatable experience, but also from her decades of research. She leads her clients to a position of inner stability and confidence. After any amount of time spent with Jenn, I always leave not only feeling better, but knowing more clearly who I am, valuing the beauty of who I am, and being clearer on what’s true.”
